About me
Think you know orienteering? Think again!
Orienteering is a fun-filled activity for people of all ages and abilities. It is a great team building exercise as well as a good way to keep fit, learn a new skill and meet new people. I offer orienteering services in and around London, whether it’s teaching school children the basics of the sport, taking a corporate team building session or preparing a map for the purpose of orienteering.
I began the sport at the age of three, and am now a qualified coach with three years experience of tutoring children and adults. As well as teaching school children in London, Essex, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire, I have worked as a junior coach for the Great Britain team, and I am now available to offer corporate training sessions at a central London park.
Orienteering is an outdoor activity using both the mind and body to navigate around a pre-set course. Using a map, the aim is to steer your way between control points, working out the best route in which to complete the course as quickly as possible.
From complex forest terrain to the busy streets of a bustling city or even a school playground, orienteering can take place anywhere and at any time of year.
I’m a fully-trained orienteering coach with a wealth of experience of coaching people of all ages and abilities. As well as offering term-long courses for schools, I also offer corporate team building sessions and general orienteering based fitness sessions.
I specialise in designing team games and challenges to help groups to learn and engage, some examples can be found on my resources page and are available for purchase. I also create accurate custom orienteering maps using professional software.
